Stayed in the shop all day, greeting customers who dropped by to check out yarns on sales. Tomorrow will be a long day also. I will not close doors until 8:00pm.
I have been working on knitting baby blankets for 3 expectant moms and have finished one and am 3/4 of the way thru on the 2nd one. Got a little spinning in also, finished Navajo plying some yummy Corriedale custom dyed in bright easterly colors. Now I have to decide what to do with the yarn.
Got the granddaughter moved closer to the university she transferred to, to finish up her 4yr degree in nursing.
Hopefully, I will get here more often to post more a couple of times a week. Computer sits so idle when I am busy.

Wow, What A Week!
What a week this has been! Finished a knitted jacket with zipper in back for my grandchild, hand sewed the BLACK binding on a full sized quilt, finished knitting an UFO, a lace scarf from one of HeartStrings' pattern and am now working on another UFO, a tri-shawl, using Heritage Yarns. I am also looking for a neutral color in cotton for my SIL who has just finished chemo. It will be a while before she is ready to bare the head with a new crop of hair. I have another queen sized quilt to sew the binding on, then will be finished with college and high school gifts for niece and grandson.
I just washed and blocked a pair of black/red/white socks for a friend and need to put the fringe on the ends before blocking it.
Tomorrow, a dear friend from Scotland/Vermont will arrive for a visit and we have a busy week planned while he is here.
The following week, I will host a 3-day flatbed knitting machine workshop in my shop Weaver's Corner. The instructor will be coming from Dallas, TX and we all look forward to her and her assistant's visit here in Baton Rouge.
Hubby is in the process of gearing up for the Saints/Colts game. Think I will retire to the studio to work on the quilts.
Recovering from Hurricane Gustav has been a long road.....but we are back home, safe and still busy organizing things. I only have 11 boxes left to unpack, quite a difference from 72. No pics on walls yet, but we will get there this spring.
Here's wishing all a wonderful and productive year of weaving, spinning, knitting, crocheting. Call to be sure I am home, then drop by the shop to see the new yarns, chat and have a relaxing time while working on your favorite project. I will start a spinners' group on Friday, 1:30 - 4:30pm in March.
Hopefully, I will find time to post some pictures of the shop, and items later this week.
